This is the size-up move once a coffee table and an accent chair aren't enough seating — an armless loveseat and a corner module reconfigure for movie night versus everyday use without committing to a full sofa's footprint. The catch: 'modular' and 'small-space' get slapped on wildly different actual dimensions depending on the brand, so this is not a buy-on-the-thumbnail purchase — pull the specific module measurements and check them against your room before ordering, the same rule this list already applies to everything else here. Cotton rugs need actual traction built in to stay put on hardwood — look for one with a non-slip backing woven into the rug itself, not a separate grip pad you have to buy and keep re-positioning. On sizing: a 5x7 is the realistic ceiling once a nesting coffee table and a console are already claiming floor space in the layout above — an 8x10 assumes clearance most small living rooms don't actually have.
