Outdoor furniture has a wide quality gap that doesn't always show up in a product photo — the difference between a frame that rusts through in a year and one that lasts a decade usually comes down to two things: the frame material and whether the cushions are actually rated for outdoor humidity, not just splash-resistant.
This isn't a 'buy everything premium' list. Some patio pieces are genuinely fine at the low end. But a few categories consistently punish cutting corners — those are the ones below.
Aluminum-frame outdoor sectional with cushions
Aluminum won't rust the way the steel frames common at this price will — check the listing's "Frame Material" line before anything else, because "metal" in a product title covers both, and the one you want is stated outright when it's there. The cushions on this set are foam with removable polyester covers, which is the standard build. If you specifically want fill that drains and dries after a storm instead of holding water, that's reticulated or quick-dry foam — a separate spec, priced well above this, and not something to assume from the photos.

The gap in this list has always been storage — a sectional means cushions and a rug means something to store it under during a storm, and neither has anywhere to go without this. One thing to be upfront about: the 'wicker' here is a textured resin finish, not real rattan, same as we'd flag for any frame material on this list — it looks the part but it's molded plastic, not woven fiber. At around 100 gallons it's sized to swallow a full set of sectional cushions, not just a couple of throw pillows.
